It was an action packed day of poker in the Signature Room and when the dust settled it was Marc Podell in the winners circle. Podell had a big stack for much of the night and entered the final table third in chips.
He continued to build until just three players remained and it was at this time Podell won a massive pot. His improved to a full house on the board and most of Stephen Moy’s stack was shipped to Podell.
Moy was eliminated a short time later and Podell brought nearly a 2-1 chip lead into heads up play. It didn’t take long before he made another full house holding and Sean Lee was eliminated in second place.
Podell is our newest Borgata Fall Poker Open Champion and takes home $12,220 along with his first Borgata Poker title to bring his live career tournament earnings over $200,000.
