, but
was waiting as a trap.
However, you can’t actually trap with the second best hand, technically. Trevor was there with the to collect two tournament lives, and hit 500,000 in chips.
He surpasses Brad, now just a table over.
Registration is over – time to make this bullet work.

We are about to close out the registration period, here in our last primary event of the BFPO. You can still squeeze in (or maybe one more time!) for 15 more minutes.

With some handreading chops, Brad Russo takes down a tournament life, raise calling off against a limp raise from LP. Brad has 450,000 and has surpassed Trevor for the tournament big stack at break.

Baitai, in an unusual move, stands before calling, knowing he is making a thin call. He bravely calls down with ace-high on the turn, but a piece of cheese, dominated by the Killer’s , has gotten there.

A level and half of registration is left – time to think about your mid-tournament strategy.

On outer table 15, Wooyang now shoved his last 8 or so blinds with , igniting a firestorm that ended with four players out.
flatted behind, A.S. took a flyer with
, the chip leader Dzurenda got in with
, and a player with
liked the spot as well.
On the flop , the players managed to get everything in and into a slew slew of sidepots for the dealer to sort out.

For everyone’s convenience, Trevor, the chip leader already, covered them all and drilled the on the river after the turn brought the super blank
.
It was Trevor’s turn to celebrate a straight, and slapped his hands. Four players knocked out in a single pot, including Wooyang and A.S.
The chip leader now rises to over 340,000.

Wooyang reregisters, and is now seated next to Trevor.

A player on table 2 or 3 leapt up in celebration. He had made a straight, and shouted across the room in excitement.

The shock of the tournament ending so soon reverberated through the room. The Pokermantis asked if he could get his buy-in back.
However, it was established that this pot was not the end, to everyone’s relief.
Play goes on here in the early levels, still with registration open.

Sami takes 4th for $4,015.
Barry knocks out Sami, and it’s three left. A deal is in the air, and with Carlos well ahead, he will take the trophy and first place undisputed. A great run for Matos – his first Borgata title.

Having a great series already, it is only natural to find Carlos with tonight’s Deeper Stack trophy.
Congratulations to him, Ray, and Barry for their respective runs!

Mike Dunn is the next out, as he and Carlos get the money in on .
As the PFR, Carlos naturally continued with into a fairly favorable board, 80,000. Mike responded with a raise to 200,000 leaving 400,000 back, and of course covered by the chip leader.
Carlos decided he did not want to b/c and face a jam with his draw, and stuffed on Mike. However, Dunn could not be happier with that, holding .
However the on the turn gave Carlos broadway, and with no improvement for Mike, he takes ninth for $1,129.
Carlos takes a small hit, though right before the short break. Sami gets in his 10 bigs with against Carlos’

for a double.

“Well deserved!” he exclaims, still smarting from earlier beats to his once leading stack.
As the players dispute the break length, it’s Gary’s time to go, being felted by Amoroso’s in aggressive flop action. Another run from the dangerous and swingy Wong, 8th for $1506.
