Level 13: Blinds 1000/2000/300 ante
Entrants: 112

Average: 131,000
We hit a break as the money is within sight. Song continues strong with 205, but Stephen Gerber also on table 2 has a slim lead with 235,000. No stack has pulled away.
On 1, an interesting hand developed between Maurice Hawkins and Eric Christensen, who had opened from the button. Hawkins 3bet from the bb, and they went postflop.
A strange fell, which Hawkins led 12,500, then 12,000 on the turn
, smaller and smaller. Christensen took some time then jammed his remaining 40,000 or so.
Hawkins released, and Eric couldn’t resist showing for a bluff that worked. Hawkins shook his head and had some choice words regarding this play.
Meanwhile, seat 2, preferring to leave no name and enjoying solitaire on his phone, was apparently picking up some good hands that required little interaction. He showed three kings against Hawkins, who is bleeding a bit, while Ying commented on his string of monsters. Then, as if to prove the point, he then raised Ying with a strong combo draw.

Then, two quicks busts, including Brian Sherrier, and we redraw for 18.

Hawkins, foreground, moves just a few seats over, but on two, McKeehen has been moves to Song’s left. Former chip leader Wenhao Ying has moved to Song’s right. Harder is opposite Song – should be a fun table.
Justin Liberto is the first out after the redraw – one big danger down for the field.
Break now.

Arthur has and flops a set, but holding the
in his hand, Song makes a one card flush and sends Schiavo to the rail.
Back on 4, Sherrier appears to have wounded McKeehen as they discuss a hand, with Joe down to 50,000 and Sherrier now past 100,000 again. McKeehen then opens from UTG, but it is too light to go with as Harder then jams on him. McKeehen flips the cards into the air as rapidly as possible.
Back on two, Song is now chip leader. He has been running it up ever since he arrived on this table and now has over 260,000.
On one, Ying has slipped a little to 150,000, while Hawkins remains consistent at the 110,000 he reached levels ago. Now, however, it’s the average stack.

We head to a short pause in the action.

Meanwhile, Hawkins on Ying’s table has regained his 100,000, but Sherrier, who had pushed past 100,000 at one point, has slipped further to 40,000. Frank Bonacci, two seats down from him, is now in the 100,000 area.
Ron Sims, previously around 100,000 himself, dipped substantially but just completed an unlikely double knockout, taking out two other shortstacks, holding and hitting running aces to knock out Joe Liberta with
and another player with

As we move to a big ante here in 11, the former order of leaders has been dispersed.
Table 8, which featured Hundt, Somers and many interesting spots, has broken, as has Somers’ grip on the leaderboard. He’s now at 4 with 65,000 – just an average stack.
Sherrier and McKeehen have also each taken hits and are holding around 60,000. Even Hawkins has slid below 80,000.

With rising stacks on each table and a bluff line failing for Somers, we are bunched at the top.
Somers still has 130,000, but Sherrier on 6 has risen to 110,000. Meanwhile, Stephen Song has cracked on the way to 95,000.
Hawkins remains near 100,000 despite taking a small hit, doubling a short stack, behind from start to finish against
.
Somers took the hit taking a bet/check/shove line BB vs CO on a low board, but even the turn queen would not dissuade from a necessary call.

Hundt continues to bleed, this time taking a cooler against the shorter stack of George Abi-Zeid, versus
. James now has 20,000, while George shoots past 60,000.
McKeehen and Hawkins continue steady around 100,000, Somers remains chip leader at 180,000.

Somers continues to be chip leader of the Six Max, near 180,000.

“I’ve never run purer in my life,” David mentioned.
In the next hand, again vs the other table stack James Hundt, David raised a cbet on and then got the fold on the
turn.
The pot pushed him past 180,000. Hundt is still strong with 75,000
Ron Sims has risen past 110,000 on 4, and Sherrier on 6 has been busy as well, a little shy of 80,000 after losing a pot just before break.
McKeehen has been steady all level and last, now around 80,000.
However, the biggest development was on table 1, with Maurice Hawkins three betting Jeremy Perez. Perez went for it and jammed with what looked like a starting stack, only to get snapped off by
.
“I was just trying to get out to break,” now at 100,000.
The dinner break will last one hour.

We head to a short break. Hundt has slipped to 75,000, while David Somers on his left has moved to 125,000.
Joe McKeehen has risen very steadily, now just behind Hundt, with about 70,000.

Ryan uses a river scare card to bluff after it checks through. However Kuey does find a call with a turned pair, despite the risk of action behind.
