Event 22

Will O’Connor who is primarily a super low stakes PLO player specializing in games such as .25/.50 and 1/1 PLO has just taken his seat in Event 22. O’Connor registered about 5 minutes ago and has already taken his starting stack of 15,000 up to 25,000. Will is coming off one of his biggest wins of $68.00 in the 1/1 game last night. We will have our eyes on O’Connor as he is already active and involved in a lot of pots.

When all is said and done, it is Jeff Snyder (Oceanport, NJ) who is taking home the $14,451 top prize, and final trophy of the 2014 Borgata Fall Poker Open.
Snyder came into the final table second in chips and chipped up early to take over the chip lead. He never looked back as he steadily built his chip stack before winning the biggest pot of the tournament when he eliminated Kwan Rex in 4th place. Snyder was more than ecstatic with his victory but told us he was looking forward to curling up in bed and catching up on some sleep.
Congratulations to all players who came out to the Fall Poker Open, we look forward to seeing you for our next series!

Tran was the spark plug of the final table, as he kept all the players and spectators laughing with his high energy and playful attitude. Tran will take home $8,516 for his second place finish here in Event 22.

Anthony Schiro is headed to the rail after taking a horrible beat provided by Kiet Tran. Schiro called the all in of Tran holding {Ad}{Jc} and had Tran’s {Ac}{2c} smashed.
The {Kd}{Ks}{Kh} flop was not what Tran was looking for and Schiro was in great shape to score the double up. As Tran stood up the dealer burned and turned the {2h} and the entire crowd surrounding the table was shocked. The {5s} secured the knockout for Tran as he picked up the {2h} and kissed it, while Schiro took the beat like a gentleman, shaking everybody’s hand before exiting the poker room.

Play slowed down dramatically when we reached four players and the bigger payouts started to hit home with the players. After 2 levels of pre-flop raises raining supreme a big hand erupted between the two chip leaders.
Jeff Snyder opened the action with a raise to 400,000 on the button and after a few minutes of though Kwan Rex announced he was all in from the small blind for 2,600,000. Action folded around to Snyder who quickly announced call and we were off to the river.
Snyder: {8h}{8s}
Rex: {5s}{5d}
The flop brought no help to Rex as the dealer spread {Ac}{6h}{7c}. The turn brought the {8c} providing Rex with an open ended straight draw and Snyder with a set, but the river was a {Js} and Rex is sent to the rail in 4th, good for $3,974.
Snyder now holds over half the chips in play with 6,600,000.

We say goodbye to Gus Dimino(New York, NY) in 5th place. Gus got the last of his money in blind vs blind holding the {3s}{3d} against the {6h}{8s} of Kwan Rex. The board ran out {7h}{9c}{Jd}{7s}{10s} and Rex would river a straight to send home Dimino.
Diminio will take home $3,096 for his deep run here in Event 22.

Robert Mix(Leesburg, VA) is headed out the door in 6th place, good for $2,580. Mix got the last of his chips in the middle holding {Qc}{Jh} against the {As}{Kd} of Anthony Schiro.
Mix would pick up the lead as the dealer spread the {Qd}{5d}{4c} flop and would remain ahead on the {6d} turn, but Schiro’s diamond draw would get there when he spiked the {Jd} on the river.
Mix will take home $2,580.
